12-Hour Teams – Optional Gear After TA2
After completing the Lake Ellery kayak section (TA2), the following five items from the Mandatory Gear list are no longer required:

• Warm thermal jersey

• Waterproof rain pants

• Sleeping bag

• Sleeping mat

• Fly/Tarp

Teams may choose to leave these items behind after TA2.
